About the Author

Garry Pfaffmann began mountain biking in 1990 as a high school kid exploring the Grand Hogback along Denver's Front Range. He dragged his bike to Virginia, Leadville and Fort Collins before landing in the Roaring Fork Valley for a 3-month internship in 1997. On his third day in Aspen, Garry rode the Smuggler/Hunter Creek Loop and decided not to leave. The decade since has been one of great explorations! Garry has written three other outdoors books.
