This book by Bruce Bleakley is a MUST HAVE for anyone interested in aviation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and specifically at Love Field. Mr. Bleakley, the Museum Director of the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field, has produced a wonderful book that combines extensive research on Love Field, from its early and humble beginnings to the 21st century, with some wonderful photographs to create a detailed look at flight operations at the airport across the last one hundred years. He explores the growth of Love Field, which corresponded to the growth of Dallas and air travel in general, and includes information about the expansion of the airport in relation to the city which surrounds it. This book shares the fascinating tale of Love Field, and I highly recommend it to you!

This is a great history of Dallas/Fort Worth aviation. As a Dallas area native, I grew up seeing Jim Wright/Braniff/Love Field stories on the news but never knew what it was all about, or how it all came to fruition. The book also contains many great historical photos.
